Tree Light

Post by sporty »

I recently built a tree light and modified one that I got from John at New Directions.

Here is a video clip of the one I got from John and added a different lens to it.

Here is the one that I built, with the help from John at New directions and parts from him.

I did not hook this one to the solenoid for the video clip.

A special thanks goes out to John and to Quadad for all your help.

Stuart over at Micro Wizard also sells those with his new starting system. I don't think they are on his website yet, but we have a bunch of them in use around here. Fun for the kids and parents to watch come down and start the race.

Looks good Sporty. How much $$$ do you have wrapped up in it?
Thanks,

Well I got a good deal from John on the first one.

The 2nd one I built, I had less than $80 in it.

I got a great deal on the lens and mount for $10.00 with extra pieces and lens.

Johns I added in the lens / mount for $20.00

I also built the soleniod and works with the tree light or to randys software if you want to run it through that.

I added a push button and a cable and push button and then for the gpi or tree light. I did that all for around $40.
