shaving wheels is the process done by hand typically.

Lathing the wheels is some other process that is used to remove large quantity of materials or interior material.

Here again, it is poorly stated process limits and not the actual desired goal. I believe that the goal is to eliminate wheels that have had material removed to such an extent as to provide a faster start.

The need for all of the raised lettering to be visible goes a long ways to addressing that. All that would be needed is that the thickness of the wheel tread can not be substantially changed.

I like the note about graphite and the parental discussion notes at the end!

Hopefully someone did some proofreading and corrected them before they were sent out?

I wish we had a set of rules for our district to go by. They are more 'laid back' and I haven't seen any written rules.
