Offbeat Racers - November 1973 Boys Life

Post by ah8tk »

I found this in a 1973 Boys Life magazine, it is kind of the same rules as a lot of us use today (except for the 7 3/8” length).

This would be 35 years ago, the same year I was 10 and in Webelos (just like my son now), these are the cars we raced (Oh I wish I knew where I put these cars 15 years ago when we moved). There is no discussion of how much the rear wheels should be canted (oh yea, there was no internet back then).

And Sporty says the colored wheels were created last year, the idea for them was based on a 35 year old idea.
