Awana Grand Prix - The Why

Post by gpraceman »

Here's a couple of Awana Grand Prix videos from Awana Clubs International that I thought were pretty cool.

gpraceman, Thank you for sharing this! As a child I was in Cub Scouts & Awanas.
But I never got the chance to race these cars. Until I was an adult!
My first racer was none other.. than a 1929 Model A Ford pickup that I built long before I learned the Awana Grand Prix History!
Now, I'm not the kid talked about by Ken.. And Ken's Ultimate Grand Prix car/truck
on this web site.. http://www3.awana.org/about/default.aspx?id=535" target="_blank
But can I share with you a photo of my racer?
I built this about 4 years ago.
yes it even..ran like the real one too!
This is my Favorite Turtle Racer.
Who Said You Have to Drive Fast.. To Drive Safe?
Winning isn't every thing.. But Teaching a child about the Lord is!
Kids are truly God's gift to us all...And it's what we teach them as parents/adults
that makes a difference in their lifes.
