Platform or stepstool plans?

Post by jrz_dad »

I'm looking for plans or ideas on how to help our Tigers (and other little guys in the pack) step up to the track so they can place their cars on it without fear of falling. Our pack keeps using this rickety old stepstool and its time that "disaster-waiting-to-happen" is retired. Some where I heard about plans for a fold up type "platform" that was alot more sturdy but I can't seem to find those plans.

Anyone here have such a set of plans or ideas?

Thanks!!

I think you are referring to the plans on Stan's site at http://members.aol.com/standcmr/pltfm.htm

I saw a simpler method for the anchor (in the platform) where the siderail inserts:
in place of the "box" , attach shortened 2X4's to the 2X6 cross braces. The end of the 2X4 restrains the bottom of the siderail upright.
