Those are the ones that I put in my workshop binder for kids to browse through. I don't know of another good collection.

Here are the designs from the BSA website, using the Pinewood Derby Car Designer, these are prints of the 15 designs:

(design-01)
(design-02)
(design-03)
(design-04)
(design-05)
(design-06)
(design-07)
(design-08)
(design-09)
(design-10)
(design-11)
(design-12)
(design-13)
(design-14)
(design-15)

There is a problem with printing the designs. In Acrobat Reader under print if you tell it in the page scaling box, “fit to printer margins” it prints slightly too small. If you set scaling to “None”, it prints slightly too large (on my printer).

I forgot about that little web app.

A couple of those designs would have to be modified or run backwards by our rules, since they would extend past the start pin.

Seems they did not read that booklet very well.

I tried one of these designs last year with a visiting grandson... didn't like it. Sharp angles, tall designs, no room for weight in the back-end etc...

Some look cool, but you have to do a lot of hollowing out because most of the designs are not optimized for speed.

Possibly worth sharing for the ideas...

Update:
Used the other patterns posted, made templates with cardboard backing.
Put them in two big binders: SIDE and TOP.
They're a big hit.
I also keep some of my older 'demonstration' cars around for examples.
And, whenever they allow I keep the cut off portion of other cars. Good for ideas, and great for practice on drilling, painting etc...

Thanks for all the good build ideas.
