With these price falls it just goes to show how we have been being ripped off .

It should have never went over $2.00 to start with.
That is the truth. It kind of makes me sick to think about how many families in the US are truly fighting to survive and simply keep up with their bills while big business continues to rake in the profits.

Filled up my truck this evening for $1.58 per gallon. The pump cut off at $24. Back in the summer, it was costing me over $60 to fill up.
Does anyone think that we will see $0.99 anywhere? Im predicting $1.39 but I cant imagine it getting any lower.

We are $1.87 here in South eastern N.C ( N.C has a steeper road use tax than S.C added to the price) . The manager at the station I use said they had a meeting the other day and higher management were predicting to see $1.50 within next week or 2.

So with a .29 cent difference between your station and ours you should see maybe 1.19 , What will you do with all that extra money?

Holy Hydrocarbons, Batman! We'll never see gas below $2 a gallon in sunny Cal! There's state sales tax on top of the regular tax, on top of the "special formulation" demanded by the granolas, which makes our gas cost more to start with. Then, in the cooler months, gasoline is oxygenated which further costs more since we get less mileage on the oxygenated fuel.

On a good note, the air looks...well, usually, you can't see it. Which is a pile better than it was 40 years ago.

gas finally made it to $1.99 here in southern Wisconsin, not the savings some of you are getting but it was costing $160.00 a week to fill my suburban at $4.00 + so I am thankful.

Well we made it down to $1.59 here in south eastern N.C.

Bad news; It went up .02 cent today, is it back on the rise?

$1.65 is the best I've seen in the past few days. Yep, I think we've hit bottom and it's going to go back up a little. OPEC isn't making enough money so they'll probably cut production.

Last week there was a gas war a few miles down the road from me. The lowest I saw was $1.219. The local paper claimed it was the lowest price in the nation.

Unfortunately it lasted only a day or two. It immediately shot back up to the $1.599 to $1.799 range.

It figures - I filled up my Suburban the day before the gas war.

I purchased some for $1.39 on last Friday in central eastern NC... but noticed today it had gone up to $1.44. Unfortunately, I feel like we may have seen the bottom.

We had a station in Spokane, Washington, that sold gas for 96 cents a gallon for a couple of hours last week. I was not one of the lucky ones to get a fill-up at that price.
