A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL ON DERBY TALK

Twas the night before the Pinewood Derby,
His car was in need of cutting out shaping & some lead,
He had done his very best,
When his mom yelled out "Get to bed!"

He climbed under his blanket,
His car wasn't ready to race,
The Pinewood Derby race was tomorrow!
There was a frown on his face.

He heard something spin,
Coming to help him win!

As he peeked from under the covers,
The computer at his desk was somehow logging on
to the Derby Talk web site,
When he saw Scout Saint Nick starting to click,
To see photos of unusual derby cars on
Darin McGrew's Shape & Race,

Then on to Barb & Stan Pope's Place,
When he heard Scout Saint Nick let out a cheer,
While using Stan's coping saw and vise, drill press, and axle hole jig,
To help the car down the track.

Over to ah8tk, where Andy & Noah, helped him to sand it & splash on some paint.

Then pass it to Sporty,to get these things stuck on,
Polished axels & prepped Derbyworx wheels.

Then rushed over to Randy, at Max-v.
For the tungsten cubes & lube needed & decals to boot,
To help this car reach maximum-velocity.
While speeding down the track,

And on to FatSebastion, and the rest of us,
To dial this cars alignment in,
Only to place it on the official weigh in stand.

So Scout Saint Nick could check over the rules once more,
And give this car his final inspection & approval.
He clicked his boot hills & winked ;) at the young Cub Scout.

Who had a Smile :) on his face!
A very happy Pinewood Derby to all,
And to all a good race!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Twas the night before the derby
and all through the house
Son and Dad were stirring,
much noisier than a mouse

The car was not quite ready
the wheels did not spin just right
but it was getting late
and it was time to bed for the night

Daddy tucked in his baby
and walked away to bed
when upon the roof they heard
banging noises above there heads

A russle and then a tussle
as something fell to the ground
then a knock upon the front door
revealed St. Stan was now in town

They invited him quickly into the house
upon his face was a cheery smile
they showed him to the workshop
to work a bit more for just a while

Stan showed them Pinewood magic
but very easy things to do
Dad's baby soon had finished building
a real hum-ding-er-oo

Stan shoved off through the front door
with a big smile upon his face
and wished them the very best
in tomorrow's Pine-Derby race

Daybreak soon did follow
baby rubbed the sleep from his eyes
off to the races they went
which held for them a huge surprise

Not only did they win the day
First in rank, then first in pack!
A new track speed record was set
All present were taken aback

Daddy looked up and out the door
a tear building in his eyes
he saw a smiling face looking on
Ole' Stan there to his surprise

Baby never forgot that day
that he, Dad and Stan worked as three
one of his toughest moments
was now his best memory

As they headed out the door
To eat a bite to rejoice
They heard away in the distance
Stan shout: "It's for the boys!"

Yes to whoda and all... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (and safe, well safe enough, New Year ;) ).

We're going to spend some money on fireworks for New Years :)
