DT for the rest of my life

It just occurred to me that I need a DT for the rest of my life. Why are my toilets running all of a sudden? Why is my remote not working? Is this a tax write off? :? :? :? :?

If the flapper valve is not stuck open it may have hardened and needs replacing.
