DerbyTalk downtime?

Post by Vitamin K »

Has anybody else been having intermittent problems connecting to DT? It is good 95℅ of the time, but a couple times a day I'll be unable to access. Just wondering if this was a known issue.

There was some downtime about 1-1/2 weeks ago, but not since. Stan emailed me about having a problem connecting to the site. I am assuming it was a DNS issue on some server out there, so I put in a trouble ticket with our server management company. They indicate that the problem is resolved. Hopefully, that is truly the case.

My last episode was wee-small hours this morning when after 3 or 4 successful accesses, it returned the dreaded "Page not found". I'll give the DNS servers another day ... maybe sort 'em out by then.

Prior to this morning, my first attempt after a successful access would fail.

I'm hoping that this post "goes through" and doesn't fly off into the Internet's Big Bit Bucket.
