Compressed Air Racing

Post by gpraceman »

Someone sent me this photo of their race in Puerto Rico. They use 80-90psi compressed air to launch the cars. The track is 40ft long. Seems like a pretty cool concept.

Wow! If 80-90 psi can launch a 2-liter soda bottle 80 feet into the air, it should send those cars scooting down the track pretty well! Any info on the mechanics of the launcher, weight of the cars, strategy/tactics, if any, etc.?
