One of the projects that we have going is to create 7-10 hours self guided classes for students in K6-8 in various Middle Schools to learn about CTE and do some hands-on activities at home.
Each course needs to develop CTE skills and end with a culminating project. Students would be receiving small project kits to put together along with the online class.
The two classes in Manufacturing we spoke about are:
•Thinker CADD and 3D Printing
◦$5.00 per printing project
•Downhill Car Racing
◦$25 per car Kit per student
I'm already working on getting the 3D Printed per student budget increased because it will not cover costs of wheels, axles and PLA needed to create a 3D printed car.
I'm looking for a breakdown/Segments and what to put in each one.
Thanks for your time in advance. This is really important and will likely have a significant impact this year and in the future of PWD here in CA and maybe beyond.
Remember, everything they need to learn to create their car must be in the lessons at home (likely unsupervised.
