Helping a new Pack

Post by pack529holycross »

My son is completing his WII program with a different pack, and they currently have what looks like a P1 Plus kit. Photos below.

What are some opinions of upgrade paths for this hardware?

can a K series chip be installed on that board without modification?

will such an addition give the capabilities of that K series chip?

it does not appear that a starting gate trigger was contemplated with this version - other than the switch itself, any possibility of this board being upgraded for accepting that component?

Once again, great to be amongst the Derby Gurus..

Nicholas

According to the Micro Wizard website:
Upgrading the older P1 timers (PSU) will cost $ 75.00 because we have to physically retrofit the timer.

Another option would be to tie the sensors and start switch of that timer into an Arduino board. See http://www.derbytalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6216
