Neat. Is the right lane (looking uphill) really that slanted to the edge?

That shiny vinyl covering looks ever better in the rain!

Yes it is more slanted than the other lane. In the past the lanes I think were wider. so both were more equal.

I think though that most cubmobile racers and parents do not know about taking advantage of slope or curve in the road to gain speed.

In soap box derby you live or die by the line you take.

thanks for the kind words on the car, I'm just glad we were able to loan it out and to be used and win !

The kids always seem to want a new paint job or new look every year, so the vinyl was easy and nice to boot.

I would like to build one more, because there is so much more I have learned and want to do. where this current cubmobile it's simply not worth trying to do those changes.

But it's still so darn fast, that many times at the finish line its 1 car length or more differance from the other car.

Many just do not put the time into them, and also what they could learn to do or the added prep work to make them a fast Cubmobile.

From year to year, many are the same cubmobile with no added improvements to them.

this was the first year I did not do anything to it and loaned it out.

There was a crash with it and I need to fix the alignment and a foot safety board. Even with the crash it still won and did very well.
