Do most groups award their top three with trophies? What about the rest? Participant ribbons?

Our pack hands out trophys for 1st, 2nd & 3rd and a small trophy for all that are in the race.

Then thay have best of show and best of design

We just had our Cubmoblie last Saturday. What we did since our District asked us to do it as a District event we had medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each Rank. Then took the top 3 from each rank and race for trophies for overall.
