CO2 Cars

Post by dna1990 »

Does anyone do CO2 cars anymore? Is it done at the middle school age? Scouts/leagues/school/etc?

It was never offered when I was in school but saw some at a Texas Tech (woodshop) Fair in Waco, many a moon ago.

Looking to find the next interest level when we age out of PWD.

We did CO2 cars a couple of years ago. It was a lot of fun. The key is to have the car as light and as arodynamic as possible. The only problem we found was there is a lot of down time between races while the cars are being stringed up on the line. One of our leaders homeschool group has done this several times.
