From what I recall of the BSA blast car is that they asked for 300' for the run. Also that $70 starting system is a dual launcher and could be daisey chained to more units...@ $70 each{neat but ouch}.
I'm trying to recall where I just recently saw someone's car go 60ish feet{maybe it was 90 something feet} in ".915 seconds". I think it was maximum velocity's site{sounds like something they'd do - lol}.

Like ciodude,

While at my local Scout shop today I coulden't resist picking up a Blastcar kit.
Well ok.. So I went all out for the hole ball of wax!
I even orderd the $69.99 synchronized start launcher & Yes you can connect multiple launchers,
it will also adjust up & down to allow for different car heights also.
The race line is 50#test monofilament line and the reel in launch kit is 110 yds (330 ft)
Cut that in half for the two lanes.
For a longer race you'll need more line.
The eyelets must have 1/4" clearance to the track surface.
As far as axel placement it my be anywhere on the car.. you can even turn the block.
The axel locations should be between 1/8" & 3/8" above the bottom of the car
and a 3/32" pilot hole is needed for the self-tapping axel screws

It seems like a lot to pay to play around with these Blastcars.. But it's going to be fun!!
When I stop to think back about what went wrong with Donn Murphys red co2 racer..
And how he tells us what happenend and what his Dad forgot to do on its 2nd run.
I can't help but to think.. what a memory these Blastcars are going to make.

The wheels are 1 3/4" diam.
The axels are hex key also & on the heads have B.S.A stamped on them.

The fuel canisters are a 10 pack of.. eight grams compressed,food-grade CO2 gas
kids you have to be 16 years or older to purchase it.

However at this time no car patterns or templets are offered for these Blastcars.
What type of automobile can be spelled the same forwards & backwards?
