A Blastcar I've been working on.

Post by whodathunkit »

Thought I'd share a few photos of a blast car I've been working on.
Every one keeps telling me I should " whittle or carve " out a driver for the cars.
Hope you all will enjoy seeing this car and driver.

I've still got a lot of work that I want to do to the car like exhaust pipes
And have it running with 2- co2 bottles that I'm planning on placeing just above the rear wheels,
that will look like mufflers. (Trying to make the car look more like an midget race car!)

Ok .. So how many of you guys wish the car had the vintage aluminum dish looking wheels?
Well here you go guys.
How many of you remember these Lynncraft aluminum construction/ erector set wheels?
(Frist produced in 1946 by Lynncraft in Glendale,California)

Thought I'd equip the car with these wheels for use on my home drive way.

Happy Memorial Day.
And God Bless all.

Thanks Aron,

I haven't done any wood carvings in a while now, so carving the driver of this car was a blast as well as a challenge.
I wanted to keep the vintage race driver look as well.. for this driver.
So I went with the old leather racing cap & big goggles.
It took me every bit of 3 hours to carve out Don Murphy as the Driver for this Blast car.

Glad you like it Aron. ;)
