Equipment List

Post by BigDozer66 »

I need to put the printer on the ' take to PWD' list then. :)

I am going to try and borrow a projector to put them on the wall but I might not be able to do that? :?:

I knew there was a reason to start early on this stuff.

And to make some checklists :D

I have a variety of DT printouts and a lot of chicken scratch notes from this year's PWD at home, and I am planning prior to next year to assemble a couple of clean "who's bringing what" and "who's manning what stations during what times" checklists.

Yes, one of my old bosses (and several old co-workers) were Submariners (Diesel first, then the Nucs...) :) You thought Santa Claus had a list and checked it twice? Old St. Nick's got nuthin' on those guys. The care they took, I think they half expected Rickover himself to jump in the room and "dress 'em down" at any moment

See if anyone in the Pack has access to one (perhaps through work, you know it's to support the Scouts :D ).

Of course this could be the oportunity to buy that needed home theatre piece.

"But dear, we can use this to throw a party for the kids and show REALLY big movies!"

Not that I would EVER use that reasoning with Mrs. DerbyAddict........

I talked to one of my oldest friends (and fishing partner) tonight and he said I could use either one of the projectors from the church.

Our Pack is chartered at a different church than the one I serve at.

I didn't ask him but he might 'volunteer' to come help at the PWD.

Randy,
That is a nice list! :D

Thanks for sharing it.

My friend told me one of the projectors uses a VGA cable (IIRC) and the other one hooks up with a S-Video cable.

I expanded the list a bit to be more inclusive. The original list is just the stuff that we bring with us to run races at other packs. There are several other things that are needed to run our own race.

Our pack's track is a Piantedosi Freedom, so those with other tracks would need to tailor the track section and tools needed to set up their track.

I'll continue to tweak the list if others see some things that should be added.

So, how did you get involved with Pinewood Derby? Well, I lent my fishing partner a projector, then I decided to stop by the event, next thing I know I'm on the PWD committee!!!

Funny how those things happen. :)

I "joined" our Council PWD committee when I attended one of their meetings to ask for some rule clarifications before putting on a workshop. Next thing you know,...

I saw a thought on t-shirts that said "The race committee members are volunteers, before you criticize them be ready to take their place!"

I might need someone to run the computer and projector for me! 8)
