So Having Wandered, that's a cool quote, where is it from? My Google search turned up nothing.

Here's the source I'm familiar with:

"Not all those who wander are lost" - J. R. R. Tolkien, All That is Gold Does Not Glitter

yep, suppose it would help if I added the attrib. Not a huge Tolkien fan but I fully agree with the quote.

I have too many hobbies. One of them used to be training my dogs to point and running them in local trials. I haven't done much of that (in 10 years or so) since having kids as that is a difficult thing to do as a family. However, I kept the login ID as I still do bird hunt with the dog I have now, she just doesn't get much training.

Pacfanweb

Kept it from the 90's AOL days. Packfanweb wouldn't fit

My wife and I each have a Dodge Dart, both with 340 cu in engines - plus we both have names that start with "D" and have twin boys, so the double thing was easy to come up with. The spelling stems from back in the days of AOL where you had to limit the number of characters, so we came up with "dubldart340"

Mine is from high school computer science classes. Our user ids were the first five letters of your last name and first initial. Stuck 'the' on front in college and it stuck.

I remember seeing a user signature last year that really struck me. I've even paraphrased this users byline in a pack email I sent out while admitting I was stealing it as well as likely screwing up the wording. Signature was something like

"Out of sawdust and sweat come million dollar cars and priceless memories"

Can anyone identify where this is from? If not, at least help me get the wording correct

Mine is related to my other passion.... tennis. Until I had kids, I played tennis 2-3 times a week and had been traveling all over the world to watch tennis in the "dream" locations. The D is my first initial.

Jim is my first name, obviously.
The 4 is for the 4 of us in our family, myself, my wife and two sons.
The 17 is for our birthdates. We were all born in different months, but we were all born on the 17th of our respective months.

Same screen name that I've used since my first need for one on the www., way back when. It combined my favorite song, with what was my biggest hobby at the time. Never used another....
