Hello all,

Well our PWD was last night. The results are posted below. Like last year only 2 cars broke 3 sec on the 42 ft best track. Yet this year it was not my son and me it was my son and daughter. Despite the fenders and the super cool pin striping the kids beat me. The good news is my son won first in pack, daughter was first sibling and I was first in adults (we only had 2 adult cars-need to fix that next year :scratching: )

My son's best time last year was 2.963 and this year was 2.969. So close to a PR.
Even with similar COMs and drift my sons car rode the rail well but my daughter has a slight wobble. Mine did too which cost me the 3 sec mark.

Overall a great race day for all. We had more trophies than last year and they were MUCH appreciated.

If we have a district race I will be dialing up the drift...stay tuned!

Congrats. Seth, on a 1-2-3 Pack finish!

Surely, your reputation as a 'PWD Guru' within the Pack is cemented with those standings.

Our Derby is a week from tomorrow. We are soooooo behind in our builds it's not even funny. Hope to get some real progress made this weekend.

Regards,

Scott

Well done! I'm curious, did you use standard wheels and axels or upgraded components?

Topspin,
All stock with limited alteration. We switched to the more strict district rules this year. Also Dave from Rentmytrack says no regional race this year due to the poor turn out last year. Bummer. That was fun. I hope Alpine District has a race. Last year they combined with Cascade district to run the race.
How are the 8 cars coming?

Seth,

I'm curious to know what your wheel prep was. Any wheel shaving or hub work? Did you remove the step in the outer hub?

What was your bore polishing regimen?

Sorry to hear that we won't be able to go head to head at the regional race. If you're interested in being in our open category at our pack race in March let me know.

Builds are slowly progressing, but we've still got 8 weeks until the pack race.

Again. Well done! Very difficult to go sub 3 seconds on stock parts.

Seth-

The same thing happened to me last year! All my kids got sub 3 second times on a 42 foot best track except for me. After I got home, I noticed my rear axles had come loose.

Anyway, congrats on some very fast times. Any time you are near or below 2.97, you have a very fast setup!

Our race is this weekend. Still working on the cars, hope to have them done in a few days.
