Cubmobile race dates ????

The forum has been quite lately.
Thought I would post if, anyone still has a Cubmobile Race in there area yet this year ? or if they are all done this year and will have them again next year.
As some of you know, A few months back.
I had contacted the national office in Texas. This was in regards to better safety and rules for the Cubmobile race.
Some of the people that I had spoken with who have children in the Cubmobile race.
We had talked about a more consistent and more national set of rules.
We had hopes that this would occur, so that it may lead to regional races. Something more along the lines of how the Pine Wood Derby races our done.
When I spoke with MR. Woodard in the Texas office, A update to the book in this area, had not been done in a long time.
He also, did not know when they would be up dating the book.
I had taken the time to send some better images and pictures and also some better information on the Cubmobile race.
They also in return had sent me what was in the book currently.
I was pleased to find some rules and information, That even with hearing or observing some Cubmobile races this year.
That even their basic rules were not being followed.
So, My hopes are two parted.
One is awareness of the current rules and asking that others like me will take interest in sending information and thoughts in regards to the Cubmobile races to texas.
In support of a updated book and information.
I know of two classes of Cubmobiles, the stock class (size, width, parts used are the same) relatively speaking)
the open class, has a body on the Cubmobile and has a longer or wider frame and may even have steering. Building materials are more wider open and not specific on size and type of material used.
More information will follow, I will await to see replys and comments.
