Re: Won Den & Pack Race
ok not remembering what I did was eating me up so I ran & grabbed the car. Here is how I initially set it up: rear axles:straight rear axle holes: drilled -2.5° camber DFW axle: bent at 2.5° Not exactly sure about the bend angle NDFW axle: straight front axle holes: drilled straight The DFW axle...

Re: Won Den & Pack Race
Interesting reading. We built the car in Nov. & for the life of me I can't remember how we set the front axles up & neither can my son. I did drill the rear holes for negative camber & 0 degree toe. Bit I'll have to get the car out tonight & check out what we did on the front axles. ...

Won Den & Pack Race
Good news & bad news Good news: My son's last year as a cub scout & we won the 2011 den & pack race again this year. Niby was even close this year & it was our fastest car ever following the 3 wheel rail rider steps again from the guys here at Derby Talk. :bigups: Bad News: Just look...

Re: Evan's 2010 Pack Winner
Nice clean design! Way to go guys! We run the same essential design on all our cars this year. How did you put the weight in? Got a picture of the underside? Thanks! Murph I can take a pic of the underside but it looks just like the top, almost. My son isn't big enuff to handle a 2-1/4 H...

Re: Wotamalo District Races 2/20/10 Results
It'll be interesting to see the heat times if they are made available. I just realized last night that I put a bad date on the Pack Race subject line ... entered "2/23/10" instead of "1/23/10"! Argh!!! I need a new brain with better "sanity testing" for such details. A...

Re: Almost didn't make District Race
I originally had planned to drill an extra axle hole just a little lower incase District implemented the 4 wheel touching rule but I forgot once we were under the gun on construction. Once they put out the brochure I read the rules specifically for that rule. I'm expecting to see that rule to show u...

Almost didn't make District Race
I was sitting around this morning & thought tomorrow is the District race, Feb 20th. Then it hit me that today was the 20th! I remembered that the check-in time for last weeks Pack Race was 2:00 pm and grabbed up the brochure to see what time check-in was for Evan’s division at District. Check-i...

Evan's 2010 Pack Winner
This is my son's 2010 pack winner. It's a fast rail rider with the newer 2009 mold wheels. http://i45.tinypic.com/213q92b.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/6ydudu.jpg This is my car for the parent's race this year. 1st place also. http://i47.tinypic.com/2ikqjgy.jpg I'll try & get some times on it at th...

Re: 2009 Family Cars
I'm wondering that myself. 1.7 seconds? I'm thinking that would get the kids hyped up to see that car zip down the track between races. Heck it might even blow the slung out graphite off the track.

Re: Will's 2010 PWD Car
Very slick looking car! That's a real eye catcher.
Is there any signs of rubbing on the bottom of those fender flares? Rubbing on the curve transition was my second thought after I looked at the picture.

Re: A Reluctant Rail Rider & First in Pack
Both cars tuned in at 2.5" at 4'. Both cars are identical builds, or as close as can be. The only difference was I used pre-2009 wheels (lightened to identical weight of the newer molds, matched sets) & his were the newer molds (matched sets). Both cars originally weighed in at 4 7/8oz but ...
