Feelin' Groovy Goovin' My Own Axles

Post by Ratrodsrule1 »

Hi my name's Eddie and I'm a DIY Junkie. Perhaps "A Beast Of Burden" is more descriptive. Honeing my axle grooving skills my biggest enemy is my massive shop drill press with some runout. Adhearing to the phrase "you get what you pay for" there's always some middle ground. Anyone have a recommendation on a nice merchandise received for money spent work bench mini press that's deadly accurate ?

HI Eddie!

The Kreg ksw 1000 mobile project center work bench is not bad for a work bench at $169.

for drill press's..
The Shop fox w1668 drill press is not bad.. at $429. at home depot .. best value for the money is the WEN 4208 drill press at $85.95

If you have a Dremel Workstation you can try cutting grooves.. a little something like this:
