Lovers of Design category

Post by Speedster »

Do you have this?

Erie Council, Northwest District invites 2 cars from each Den for "Design" category and 2 cars from each den for "HIGH TECH DESIGN" category.
High Tech design is defined as any car having working lights or a paint scheme that is UV lights reactive.

Is the Northwest District the 1st one in America to do this?

"Design" certainly not. "High Tech Design" maybe.

Working lights aren't that hard to do. There are even kits for adding working lights to a derby car, or I've seen kids add bits cannibalized from electronic toys to a derby car (which isn't much different from adding any other bits cannibalized from toys to a derby car).

Lights that come on when the car starts down the track are harder to pull off, admittedly.

Saw this one locally a while back and thought it might do well in a "High Tech Design" competition.

Are you guys doing blacklight/dark races to show off the lighting and new BSA wheels, etc?
