New Products for 2009-2010 from Maximum Velocity

Post by MaxV »

To kick off the 2009-10 racing season, we have introduced several new products to help you reach maximum velocity. You can see all of our new products by clicking on this link:
http://www.maximum-velocity.com/newproducts.htm

Here are a few highlights:

Tungsten Canopy - A slick way to weight your car and make it look sharp at the same time. This 3.5 ounce tungsten canopy has a touch of nickel to give it a nice chrome-like appearance. A 1/2 inch stud on the bottom of the canopy makes it easy to mount it on your car.

Car Plans 6 - A new booklet of car plans to help you build
a great car.

New Car Kits - The Predator, Exterminator, Raptor, and Coupe
are all available to give you speed and style.

Pinstriping and Wheel Covers - Pinstriping is now available
to give your car a fast look. Also, the popular Aluminum Wheel
Covers have returned.

New Tools - A Digital Pocket Scale, a handy Pin Vise, and
a Wheel Accuracy Gauge are all available to help you build
that special car.

Upgraded Propeller Car - Its back, and faster than ever.

We have several other new products as well. Please take a look at:

This is pretty cool. The specs say "just over 1-3/4 inches long and just under 1-3/16 inches wide." Does this mean that long dimension will not fit across a standard BSA block? (If so, why would that be?)

Might it be eventually possible to get a Wheel Accuracy Gauge without a dial indicator for those who might already have that (presumably most expensive) component?

It might also be nice to be able to swap out the wheel shaft with a holder for axle nails, so one could use this gauge to measure the amount of bend in an axle.

Neat stuff!

You can turn it sideways, but the tips of the canopy will hang over the edge between 1/64 and 1/32 of an inch. This wasn't the intended mounting orientation, but maybe we can adjust that in version 2.

The intended mounting method is like this:

Yep, I like the wheel accuracy gauge idea as well  and I am thinking along these lines also. I would prefer to be able to use a precise pin gauge (matched to the particular wheel's bore) to hold the wheel.
