Yeah, I was shocked to actually get dq'd over it. Everything else on the cars were within all their specifications. Wheels, axles, weight, etc....FatSebastian wrote:Yes, it is possible to find copies of the 2023 rules online and that same rule is there. If I had read that rule, I might have interpreted it less strictly to intend that "the car must accommodate the width of the guide rail." If you were allowed to race last year with the same configuration, the meaning of the rule had been presumably set by precedent.
Just curious, how many racers are attracted by a purse of this size? Dozens? Hundreds?
I kinda feel like Charlie Brown when Lucy moves the football! We'll see if the kids want to try again next year. Oh, well.
Last year, maybe 40 or so. This year, I'm not sure. I was a bit busy! Lol
I think this race could continue to grow, but they need to up their game on the check-in and rule clarification. At one point, a worker stacked two of our cars on top of each other, and I needed to ask him not to do that! Lol
Left to right.
3rd grade, 6th grade, 9th grade, and the car I was going to run.
